Blunk Microsystems announces out-of-the-box support for Micron’s Serial NAND

San Jose, CA (April 30, 2010) - Blunk Microsystems, a leading embedded software provider, announces support for Micron’s Serial NAND, which provides on-chip ECC, large capacity, and a simple SPI interface. Blunk uses the INTERNAL DATA MOVE command for higher performance and includes verified drivers with its flash-centric file system TargetFFS and its flash translation layer TargetFTL-NDM.

Both solutions are high performance, power-fail safe, and include API extensions for embedded systems programming. The former provides a UNIX-like API. The latter allows PC file sharing via USB and forms a complete file system when used with Blunk’s PC-compatible TargetFAT. Blunk file systems are proven by worldwide use in cell phones, set-top boxes, satellites, and other demanding applications.
